Note Recognizes Our Amazing Volunteers

Recap of Volunteer appreciation

April 24-28 2023

Volunteer Appreciation Week was a chance to highlight our amazing volunteers and remind them how thankful Note in the Pocket is to have them. We are a 99% volunteer-run organization that will clothe 10,000 individuals, mostly children, with dignity and love this year.

Daily treats were provided throughout the week for all volunteers as a thank you for their hard work and dedication to Note. Chueys graciously sponsored a taco bar for our volunteers to continue to thank them for all their hard work.

Volunteers with a longstanding dedication to Note earn recognition and a special shout-out for our spring volunteer award recipients. Note awards three awards including the President’s Volunteer Service Award, which is presented to volunteers of all ages with at least 100 hours of service, the Doris Harney Award, which is given to volunteers age 60+ who have reached 300 hours of service, and the Dignity and Love Award, which is presented to volunteers of all ages who have reached 500 hours of service.

The following people received awards this week – please help us congratulate them!

Along with individual volunteers, Note hosted 137 civic, corporate, church, school, and social groups last year, with many serving multiple shifts. Thanks to the support from our volunteers we are able to increase the number of individuals clothed from 8,531 last year to 10,000 in 2023.
