Searstone/Lutheran Services Carolinas award $314,295 to Wake-area nonprofits

The Searstone/Lutheran Services Carolinas Community Benefit Committee recently announced $314,295 in grants to 11 organizations in Wake County.

Since 2014, the committee has directed five percent of revenues from the operation of Searstone, an independent living community in Cary, to Wake County nonprofit organizations serving seniors, indigent seniors, or other vulnerable populations.

The following organizations received awards for the last grant cycle: The Jewish Federation of Raleigh-Cary, The Center for Volunteer Caregiving, Resources for Seniors, The Carying Place, Inc., Bridge the Gap Mission, Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, FIGS of Wake County, Inc., SAFEchild, PLM Families Together, Note in the Pocket, and Caring Community Foundation.
