Note in the Pocket provides donated and purchased clothing to impoverished and homeless children and their families in Wake County.
“Our goal is to provide these children with a full wardrobe of matching, stylish, school-appropriate clothing so they have the confidence needed to succeed in the academic environment.”
Please note, we are accepting donations in-person at our new location, 4730 Hargrove Road, Raleigh NC, and at our off-site donation locations listed below. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us by email at info@noteinthepocket.org or by phone at 919-714-9403. Thank you for your support!
How Can You Help?
Donate Clothing
We accept new and gently used shoes and clothing of all sizes (infant-adult). To make the greatest impact, visit our Wish List page for our most needed items or contact us and ask to serve as a “Fairy Godmother or Godfather” to receive a text message when we have an urgent clothing need that you may be able to assist with.
Host a Clothing Drive
Support our mission by hosting a clothing drive for us. Sign up using the link below or contact us at info@noteinthepocket.org to learn more.
Don’t have any school clothes to share? Your financial donation will enable us to purchase new items in our most needed sizes. Thank you for your help!
Please note: While we are happy to issue receipts for tax purposes, we cannot assign a monetary value to your clothing donations. The IRS advises that it is up to the donor to estimate the fair market value of a donation. Donated shoes and clothing will be processed and evaluated for suitability to our use and will be used at our discretion to best further our mission to clothe children with dignity and love.
If you drop off donations to another location (or afterhours) and need a receipt, please contact us at info@noteinthepocket.org and we can provide one.
Drop-off Locations
A list of alternate drop-off locations is provided below. We are always looking for opportunities to add new drop-off locations to our list! Due to space constraints, business locations are for family donations only. Clothing Drive group collections or high-volume donations must be brought to our Volunteer Center at 4730 Hargrove Road, Raleigh NC. Please contact us at info@noteinthepocket.org to schedule a drop-off from your clothing drive.
Would your business like to serve as a drop off location? Contact us at info@noteinthepocket.org to learn how your office or organization can serve as a donation drop off site.
